With grinding, we shave the stump down to about 200–300mm below ground using a specialist machine. This depth clearance allows for future development and building over the spot. Stump removal, as the name suggests, refers to the complete excavation of the stump and root system. This, in most cases, is far more disruptive and usually unnecessary.
